我早上起床晚了，所以没来得及喂猫就上学去了。当我下午放学回家时，猫都快要饿死了。它们围着我 喵喵 地叫着要饭吃。我拿出一条鱼扔过去。我想看看谁先抢到鱼。只见猫妈妈一口叼住鱼，迅速跑开了。它没有吃，而是放下鱼，回头召唤它的孩子们。四个小家伙狼吞虎咽地吃着鱼，而它们的妈妈就在一旁温柔地看着，一口也没吃。我想起了我的妈妈。她也是这样无私地对我的。这就是母爱了，我想。

I got up late this morning and went to school without feeding my cats.When I came home in the afternoon, the cats almost starved to death. They circled around me and crying for food. I took one fish out and threw it to the cats. I wanted to see who was the first one to catch the fish. Mother cat held it in her mouth and nm away quickly. She didn't eat it, but put it down, then called her children there. The four starving little cats began to devour the fish, but their mother just stayed there looking at them tenderly,without eating a little bit. On seeing that, I thought of my mother. She often does everything for me selflessly. This is a mother's love, I think.

No he is not".[00:09:40] Yesterday I dreamed he would be an astronaut.[00:13:24] Today I am hoping he will learn to talk.[00:16:29] It was like some sort of cosmic joke.[00:19:38] I could still recall the day that determined my fate.[00:23:17] It was October in Ottawa and the summer breezes had given way to the autumn rainfall of leaves.[00:29:11] The snow would begin soon.[00:31:16] The crispness of coming frost was in the air.[00:35:01] My casually mentioning Wyatt's behavior to Dr. Martin aroused his worries.[00:40:04] He started asking me questions about Wyatt's activitie speech pattern and emotions.[00:46:36] I still see clearly in my mind the sterility of the room and all its belongings when the doctor turned to me and said,[00:55:25]" He almost sounds autistic." He is a little boy who is not talking yet,[01:18:34] when my asking questions met with his blank eyed response in a restaurant; how many times I would brag,[01:25:50]" He loves to play on his own for hours at a time and he never gets into trouble,[01:31:45] when Wyatt was playing games that no one else could conceive of, let alone join in while other boys in the park were playing together or in small groups huddled around a sand pail or toy truck.[01:44:32] My life was changing direction.[01:46:48] So was Wyatt's.[01:48:48] I started to hide Wyatt from my friends and neighbor especially from a good friend.[01:54:01] For eight months a friend and I had been pregnant together.[01:57:30] Our boys were six days apart.[02:00:02] We used to have long phone talks about our babies to share some fun and loss.[02:05:21] It was too painful to let others know about my boy acting strange.[02:11:12] It was like a blot in my life that was supposed to be happy and wonderful.[02:15:48] It was a Thursday afternoon and I found one half of a great pair of kitchen scissors was missing.[02:23:20] They were unbelievably sharp and could be taken apart so they could be washed or the blades sharpened.[02:30:32] I knew Wyatt had taken the missing blade.[02:33:28]" Wyatt," I began as patiently as I could," Do you see this?" I held up the blade.[02:40:41]" Do you know what this is?" Wyatt stuffed a bunch of Fruit Loops in his mouth.[02:46:50] No response.[02:48:23]" Wyatt!" I forced eye contact with him." Where are the other scissors See these" I showed him the half pair.[02:58:21]" These are in this drawer. Where are the other ones?" Wyatt asked as he slid down from his kitchen stool and ran off, leaving me shaking my head and wondering in exactly which way this situation was going to end badly.[03:42:33] Five minutes later, I turned my head to see Wyatt coming downstair his favorite doll in one hand,[03:49:59] the missing half pair of kitchen scissors in the other. I immediately ran over and took it from him.[03:57:24]" Wyatt!" I hugged him." Thank you for bringing me the scissors![04:02:37] Good job![04:03:18] You did it![04:04:48] These scissors need to stay in the kitchen.[04:07:21] These are Mommy's scissors![04:10:55] Wyatt laughed, looked me straight in the eye and said, Mommy so happy![04:18:38] I was on the verge of tears.[04:21:09] A realization dawned on me that he was the best gift I had ever gotten even though he was not as normal as other children.[04:31:21] And why did I hide him from others as if he were some dark and terrible secret No![04:38:39] He was my pride.[04:40:50] It was a long, hard battle to get him to this point, expressing his wants and needs without resorting to violence in frustration.[04:51:07] In fact, each new day brings out a new set of challenges and we have learned a lot about fighting this thing called autism.[05:00:45] With love and patience I have found the beautiful, happy boy who would teach me more about life.[05:08:12] And that is the solution to my cosmic riddle.
