Bushism, neologism and malapropism
1. Rarely is the question asked : is our children learning ?
2. They misunderestimated me.
3. I know how hard it is to put food on your family.
4. Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream.
5. Our enemies are resourceful and innovative, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.
第一句是明显的英语文法错误,“children”是复数,不能用“is”,应这样问:“Are our children learning ?”。
美国教师 Dirk Schulze 更利用这些 Bushisms作了一首诗“Make the pie higher”,全国上下,传为佳话。
