Brain Gates
The basic element of thought in both human brains and computers is an electrical circuit called a “gate”. In a computer, everything is either AND or OR; there are no MAYBE and no half-open gates .However, human brain also have ALMOST and MAYBE gates. This precision makes computer better than human at math. Our brain are uniquely equipped to handle those fuzzy situations because the gates in the brain have thousands of inputs coming into each gate, instead of just two or three in computer’s. In addition, human brain gates have another feature. Brain gates can decide whether to receive positive negative information when brain receives both, which not usually found in computers. The latest development in computer
technology is theoretical breakthrough in computer evolution, because it makes it possible to build a computer with gates that work like the MAYBE gates in human brain.

Men have been trying to establish a direct and permanent line of communication between British and Europe for nearly 200 years, but they never make it. War was for many years the main deterrent; officials regarded it as a threat to Britain’s natural defenses. Winston Churchill and later strategists held the view that a tunnel would be of great value and it could be closed if danger occurred. Today there are no serious military objections to the construction of a fixed link. The more recent problem has been lack of political determination, but the British and French now support the link provided it is paid for by private means. They asked promoters to submit their proposals so that they could decide on the best by the end of January 1986.
