一、接到面试通知后，最好在家打个自我介绍的草稿，然后试着讲述几次，感觉一下。

二、自我介绍时首先应礼貌地做一个极简短的开场白，并向所有的面试人员（如果有多个面试考官的话）示意，如果面试考官正在注意别的东西，可以稍微等一下，等他注意转过来后才开始。

五、在作自我简介时，眼睛千万不要东张西望，四处游离，显得漫不经心的样子，这会给人做事随便、注意力不集中的感觉。眼睛最好要多注视面试考官，但也不能长久注视目不转睛。再就是尽量少加一些手的辅助动作，因为这毕竟不是在作讲演，保持一种得体的姿态也是很重要的。

5 The first English class I taught

I’ve been an English teacher for six years. And I can’t tell that how many classes I have taught in these years. But the first English class I taught is too special to forget. At the year of 2001, when I walked into the classroom with enthusiasm, I saw my students of Grade Five. They were excited and looked at me with big interests and curiosity. That was their first English class, too. For I had prepared carefully before the class, I was not nervous, but a little exciting. The material was so easy that we finished it in

20m. So I have half of the class left! What could I do? Suddenly an idea occurred in my mind. I asked them to think over and tell me the features of their favorite English teacher. My smile encouraged them. The children were active. Then I got some advices which I would value as my precious treasure in all my teaching life. To be our friends, they said, Don’t test too often, please. Keep your smile,

please, It’s so nice! The kids vied to be first.

Until today I still keep the words in my mind. Love the children, smile to them, encourage them and pardon them. I learnt these in the first class I taught and sum them up in my later teaching life. I am sharing my first class here, and I really want to listen to yours. I hope I would have the chance. So much for this, thank you for your listening.

I have been a teacher for several years, I know that it is not easy to be a good teacher, but what’s the teacher’s role in the classroom on earth ?That’s a difficult question to

answer.

BUT first I will give you an example : the teacher comes to the classroom and writes the words and

sentences on the blackboard and tell them “read after me[they read for 10 minutes] “ now “recite the lesson[they recite for 10m’] “and then “copy the words and sentences lines by lines [they cope for 10m’]then finish your activity book 10m’ at last class is over. we all know this is not a good class .The teacher doesn’t show his right role in the classroom. so what’s hell of the teacher’s role ?In my opinion, teachers should play these roles as follows.

Controller

They should control their class , it is necessary to have the right degree of control. So degree is very important. But over-control is harmful. Different activities

need a different degree of control.

Assessor

Teachers need to assess the students’ work. As

assessor, the teacher does two things

-correcting mistakes but not making a fuss

-organizing feedback ,but do not be critical

Organizer

This is the most important and difficult role: they

should

organize activity: imagine what it will be like, anticipate problems, give instructions, and demonstrate the activity.

when doing activities, the teacher should monitor.

Prompter

The teacher needs to give right prompts when

necessary.

Participant

Teachers should participant in students’ activities. Do

not dominate or be authoritative.

Resource provider

They should provide all kinds of materials that the students need .The students will act or use the them

comfortably .

With reference to the above aspects, manifestly, I am not a good teacher. But fortunately, I am trying my best to

reach the goal.

These days I'm asking myself a question all the time,How to be a good teacher,especially in a key middle

school,maybe the teachers who worked hard to make many students gain a high score and enter the famous universities are right,but as you can see ,the poor souls,they are not happy at school,and they have no goals and dreams except passing the exams,their youth is dull with no color ,but when we were in our middle school time though the life was hard,we enjoyed the golden time,we can dream and talked about a variety of topics,in a word

we grou up without that much pressure.

What's wrong with our school,Is this the result of reforming of teaching.No ,I want to say,I have a daught,and I don't want her to suffer this pain,all the children have right to enjoy their youth,It should be

golden ,not grey.

As a teacher We should think about it and try to solve this problem,at least,we should admit that we are

doing something wrong.

Actually ,when I have been an English teacher ,I felt I have much confusion . At first , I didn’t know what my students need .They didn't care about their study They showed deaf ears to my advice or criticism. When I pointed out their mistakes, I should weigh my words over and over not to hurt their feelings .At that time, I felt as if I

lost my way in the sea.

But one day, in my class ,some children quarreled for a student’s football , I took away that football and criticized that boy , he felt very wronged .After class, he told me the truth of it .At the time , I knew I was wrong ,I was so sorry about that . From then, I bagan to listen to students . As a teacher, I tried my best to increase childens’ comprehensive abilities .However ,I seldom think about the questions in the position of the students . Perhaps, a good teacher should be the students' friend; be humorous and not too critical about the students' mistakes ; not only asks the students to listen to him but also likes listening to the students; not just focuses on the students' marks but cares more about the students' development in many ways. So after lesson students can listen, read, write, and think

without force and pressure.

So ,I gradually know what they need in the course of

learning English.

The most important need is joy and motivation .eg. I often play the game: words remember with my Ss . I give them 5 seconds, then I ask someone to spell .If he can’t, I’ll catch them .From this, my Ss never feel remember words is boring .If we can make our students feel :It’s fun to have English class ;I like to sing song and play games ;I really like my teacher ,she is nice…Well ,they can enjoy learning

what we hope ,and feel good about themselves. Trust and understanding are very important too . Do you agree with you ? Childen shouldn’t be given too many rules .We shouldn’t try to force our ideas into their minds but try to think from the childen’s view .We should learn to offer childen opportunities to try, to create and allow them to fail. When they met with difficulties ,I often encourage

them: “Come on !Don’t give up ! You are great !”

Now more and more students show interests in English, I’m glad to see that. In fact ,to be a good teacher , I need to be competent in English ;I need to be versatile, Also ,I need to be able to organize games and activities.

Although ,I’m only a new teacher now, I’m young ,but I’m trying hard in this way. For my students, I’ll try my best to

help them .
