如何写好英语作文
（一）英文写作三阶段
英语作文写作就是通过语言表达自己的思想。这里面包括两个要素：语言和思想，这两点缺一不可。在运用母语写作时，我们基本上不用花很多时间和精力去考虑语言表达方面的问题，我们的重点是放在内容的表达上。但是在英语作文写作时，既要考虑内容方面的问题，又要考虑语言表达方面的问题。如果处理不好这两者之间的关系，就可能永远也学不好英语写作。
一般说来，英语作文写作分为三个阶段，这三个阶段是不可截然分开的。
第一阶段，学习英语的基本词汇和语法。
在这个阶段，学习者对英语的基本用法还未掌握，尚处于语言学习的基础阶段。这时一般没有英语作文写作训练，即使有也只是为练习词汇和语法服务，例如造句和语法单项练习等。这种练习一般说来内容都非常简单，重点在强调学习者所使用的词汇和语法必须正确。
第二阶段，语言和内容并举。
此时的学习者已经掌握了英语的一些基础词汇和基本语法知识，可以用英语简单表达自己的思想。这一阶段英语作文练习可以达到两个目的：
（1）继续增强对词汇的掌握和语法知识的运用；
（2）用英语表达一定的思想。
在具体的英语写作实践中，这两者是不可分的。这时候，有些学生开始用英语记日记，就正处于英语写作这一阶段。
第三阶段，重点强调内容。
当学习者对英语的词汇和语法有了一定的掌握，可以用它来表达相对复杂的思想的时候，就基本上进入了这一阶段。此时的词汇已经不是最大的障碍，如何写出优秀的英语作文成了重点。这一阶段，学习者所注重的是如何选材、如何构思文章等方面的问题。有人说只有这一阶段的英语作文才是真正的写作。虽然这种说法可能有点偏激，但只有进入第三阶段，才能写出理想的英语作文。
如果发觉还无法顺利地写出完整的句子，这说明还处于英语作文写作的第一阶段。此时即使有些可能非常深刻的想法，也不要急于写出长篇大论。而应该依然注重语言的积累，如常用词汇、句型以及基本语法知识的掌握与运用等。除此之外，适当地做一些翻译练习也可以帮助你提高运用语言的能力，从而为提高写作能力做好准备。还可以多做一些阅读，培养对语言的感觉，也能为提高写作能力做一些准备。
因此，第二阶段的英语作文写作可以从下面三方面进行准备：
1、积累语言素材 2、多做翻译练习 3、多做阅读练习。
随着语言能力的提高，会逐步进入第二阶段，那时候就不愁写不出句子了。
（二）如何写好中学英语作文
中学生英语作文基本上属于英文写作第二阶段的作文。在这一阶段，学生们已经掌握了英语的一些基础词汇和基本的语法规则，可以用英语简单表达自己的思想。
所以，中考英语作文考查的标准就是1、内容是否扣题 2、用词是否准确，句子是否符合语法规则 3、语言是否连贯与通顺。
要写好一篇英语作文，必须掌握一定的写作技巧，应把握以下几个步骤：
1、认真审题立意，确定文章的灵魂。
对命题作文必须认真审题，对自由作文必须立好意。文章要有明确的主题，必须具备4个条件：准确、鲜明、深刻、集中。例如命题作文“The English Teacher I Admire Most”,文章的主题是关于记叙我最欣赏的一位英语老师,就不能泛泛谈论老师这一职业或自己的几位老师。
2、草拟提纲，打造文章之骨架。
审好题，立好意后，就要列提纲，打造文章的骨架。文章布局要做好3件事：1）安排好层次段落，2）铺设好过渡，3）处理好开头和结尾。如果命题作文中有提示句，还要从提示句的关键词出发，围绕关键词展开思路，发挥联想，记录下联想到的内容，记录的方式可以是句子，也可以用单词或词组的方式，可以用英语也可以用汉语。仍然以“The English Teacher I Admire Most”为例，提纲可以这样写:
1) Who is the English teacher that I admire most
2) My reasons
3) What can I learn from the teacher
3、写出主题句，理清文章脉络。
一篇短文的段落一般分为引导部分、主题部分和结尾部分。每段的主题句非常重要，是作者思维的起点，切题的准绳，阐述的对象。看到段落主题句，读者大致可以了解段落要阐述的内容。什么是段落的主题句？
段落主题句通常是一个语法结构完整、内容概括、用词简洁明了的简单句。通常将段落主题句置于段落的开头，可以使文章结构更清晰，更有说服力。
4、参照提纲，紧扣主题句，完成各段落，充实文章内容。
有了段落主题句后，还需要顺着段落主题句的方向，参照提纲中的思路，完成各个段落。引导段要能引起读者的注意和兴趣，为主题段铺路架桥。主题段应围绕文章和该段的主题来展开。展开的方式包括：顺序法、举例法、比较法、对比法、说明法、因果法、推导法、归纳法，和下定义等。可以根据需要任选一种或几种方式。还是以“The English Teacher I Admire Most”为例，主题段中就能用到举例法、说明法、因果法等。
除此之外，这一步骤还需注意三方面问题：
（1）确保提纲中段落结构的思路与各段主题句的一致性。只有这样，才能保证所写段落不偏题，不跑题。
（2）要综合考虑各个段落的内容安排，避免段落内容的交叉。
（3）用好连接词，注意段落间、句子间的连贯性。要做到所写文章层次分明，思路清晰，文字连贯，就需要在句与句之间，段与段之间架起一座座桥梁，而连接词起的正是桥梁作用。
如果说第一、二步是对文章的构思，那么第三、四步就是真正地“写”了。用词是否贴切，文法是否正确，句式是否多变，文采是否有生气，关系到写作者的语言功底和水平。
以下这几点仅供参考。
1、在整篇文章中，避免只是用一两个句式，要灵活运用各种句式。如倒装句、强调句、省略句、主从复合句、对比句、分词短语等。
2、使用不同长度的句子，通过简单句和复合句，增强句子的连贯性和表现力。
3、改变句子的开头方式，不要一味以主、谓、宾、状的次序。可以把状语置于句首，或使用分词短语等动词的非谓语形式。
4、学会使用过渡词。
如：1）递进：further more, moreover, besides, in addition, then etc.
2）转折：however, but, nevertheless, after all etc.
3）总结：finally, at last, in brief, to conclude
4）强调：really, indeed, certainly, surely, above all etc.
5）对比：in the same way, just as, on the other hand, etc.
5、避免重复使用同一单词或词组。
6、注意运用固定词组、习语、谚语来代替一些词表达意思，以增加文采。
●把好最后的检查关
1、是否切题分三点看：一是整篇文章内容是否切合文章标题要求；二是段落主题句的内容是否与各段落提示句内容相一致；三是段落内部的内容是否与段落主题句的表达相一致。如果发现任何一个层面不切题，应该尽可能弥补，删除那些多余的或不切题的地方，但切忌动“大手术”。
2、是否连贯：检查上下文是否连贯，句子衔接是否自然流畅，检验的标准主要是句子是否通畅，该用连词的地方用了没有，所用的连词是否合适。
3、是否有语法错误：主谓是否一致，动词的时态、语态、语气的使用是否正确，词组的搭配是否合乎习惯。还是以“The English Teacher I Admire Most”为例，根据此标题，文章肯定用第一人称“I”写，一般性的描述用现在时，举过去的事例用过去时。
4、是否有大小写、拼写、标点错误，注意卷面整洁。要提高写作水平，最根本是要大量实践，必须多读多写，注意博览和精读相结合，甚至可以适当背诵一些名句名篇。另外，还可选些范文，悉心领悟，多加模仿，以逐步达到运用自如。
（三）中考英语作文简介
中考英语作文的题材新颖、形式多样，主要侧重灵活性、实用性和多样性，主要有以下几种形式。
1、以图画提供情景的作文应以“看”为主，通过细心观察图中的人物、景物、文字、数字等，弄清写作的意图，通过分析思考把握逻辑联系，找出主题并借助所给的文字，把图中的信息转化成文章，但要注意，文章不能停留在图画的表面，而要表达出提供情景的意图和内涵，即“文在图上、意在画外”，触景生情，文章才能有灵魂。
2、以图表提供情景的作文要以“读”为主，首先要读懂图表中的数据、时间、编码以及相互间的变化关系，对所给的信息加以分析、推断、筛选、概括、去粗取精；在写作时目的要明确，要注意内容的准确性和严肃性，尤其是图表中的数据、时间等不得有误。
3、以提纲提供情景的作文。这种形式本身的要点已经很明确，重点也很突出，只要把各个提纲加以发挥，注意遣词造句的灵活性和语法规则的正确性，就不会造成审题不清而偏离主题，但要注意，文章必须覆盖所提供的各个提纲的要点。
4、以书信格式提供情景的作文。首先要了解书信的格式，英文书信格式与中文有所不同，1）、一般在信纸的右上角写上写信人的地址和日期，地址应按从小到大的顺序排列；2）、左边顶格写上收信人的姓名；3）、正文部分；4）、祝愿的话；5）、写信人签名。信的内容一定要按所给的要求写，不要漏写。如果要求你的信件用E-mail发送，请同学们务必注意，对方的网址一定要写准确，多一点或少一点都不能发送成功，可谓“差之毫厘，失之千里”。
几点注意事项
用英文写作不同于用母语那样得心应手，常常会受到生词、语法、惯用法的限制，只要同学们平时注意两种语言的异同性，抓住写作要点，也可妙笔生花。
1、为了保证文章层次分明、条理清楚，要把时间固定下来，如：记叙一件事要用过去时；写经常发生的事或对人物的描写，要用一般现在时。整个文章中的人称要一致，首尾呼应，不要随意改动，以免造成误解。
2、不要为了追求“一鸣惊人”而不愿使用熟悉的常用词，去找一些生冷的词汇，对这些一知半解的词你不会用，不知道如何搭配，结果适得其反，使文章显得生硬、不协调，甚至错误百出，所以要实事求是地把握，避免不必要的失分。
3、注意不同语言的表达习惯，也是写好英语作文的重要环节，如“我的理想是做一名建筑师”，很多同学写成“My ambition is to do/make an architect”，“to do”表示“做”或者“干”，“to make”表示“制作”，而“做一名建筑师”则表示“成为一名建筑师”应该用“be/become an architect”；又如“看书、看报”应用“read a book/newspaper”，而不是“see a book/newspaper”。因此，平时应该注意不同语言的表达习惯，望文生义或一味生搬硬套只会闹出“我的理想是制作一名建筑师”的笑话。
4、有些同学因噎废食，因怕出错而只写短句或简单句，写出的文章过于幼稚、空洞贫泛、言之无物，要使文章有血有肉就要把平时学的知识用进去，如：从句、非谓语动词和比较等句型，关键时用上一、二个，就能使文章不同凡响，更有文采，特别是对关联词的使用，如“now that”、“not…but”等，会使你的文章逻辑结构紧密、层次鲜明、条理清楚，更能显示出你的英文功底，但要做到这些并非一日之功，要靠平时的不断训练和积累。
【典型例题】
下面描述的是20##年5月15日（周三，晴天）你的一次经历，请根据其内容，用英语写一篇80词左右的日记。日记的开头格式已给出，不计入文章总词数。注意要点完整，语法正确，上下文连贯，并适当发挥。
