考研英语写作小作文之咨询信
在考研英语的Part A 小作文部分，书信作为考查的重点所在，种类繁多。在前面我们曾就以真题为例，详细地解析过建议信(/yingyu/zuowen/7454.html)和投诉信(/yingyu/zuowen/8024.html)的写作方法及其注意事项。今天本文就对考研英语小作文中的第三类书信——咨询信——进行深入的分析。
咨询信，有人也称询问信，英文中称为 letter of inquiry。看到名字，顾名思义，就是写信人因缺乏某些信息而希望通过向收信人进行适当咨询以获取这些信息的信件。咨询信的写作目的非常明确，行文措辞时一定要礼貌、委婉，适宜用一些能够起到提问作用的陈述句，应该尽量避免语气非常直接的疑问句式。
一般来说，在考研英语中，咨询信主体部分的写作可按照三个步骤进行，即“三步走”策略：
首段：表明相关，表达目的;
中段：询问信息，结合情况;
尾段：期待回复，表达感谢。
例题：
You are going to study at a foreign university. Write a letter inquiring about the specific information as regards fees and accommodations there.
You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.
Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Li Ming” instead.
Do not write the address.
题目要求向一所国外大学写封信，询问有关学费和住宿方面的信息。根据上面所提的咨询信写作“三步走”策略，操作如下：
首段：I am a Chinese student who wishes to pursue further study at your university(表明相关). I am writing this letter to inquire some information concerning the following aspects(表达目的).
第一句话先介绍自己是打算去你们大学留学的外国学生，所以自己才会有一些相关的问题需要对方解答，那么此时也就有了写这封信的必要。第二句话明确表达自己的写信目的，即是要询问有关信息。 the following aspects 可更具体，换成the fees and accommodations。 中段：To begin with, I would like to know how much are the tuition fees are. Although I intend to be self-supporting, I would be very interested to know if there is any scholarship available for international students. Secondly, as regards accommodations, a single room would be my preference. But if single rooms are very expensive, I will be willing to share.
在本段中，首先对于所要询问的信息分条提出，更显逻辑;其次，在每条信息之后，结合现存的情况和问题等，还要附加进一步的解释阐述，使所提问题更加具体，那么得到的相关回复也就更加有效。
尾段：I am looking forward to a favorable reply at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and attention.
本段中第一句话表达了渴望对方回复的心情，第二句话表达了对对方的感谢之情，都较简单好记。
