一．写作概况及目的

托福写作(TWE) （Test of Written English)考试设有单独一张试卷，是TOEFL考试的第一项内容，能否顺利完成对考生的写作成绩和后面几部分考试内容的正常或超常发挥有着极其重要的作用。

要求考生在30分钟内，围绕某一个给定的话题写出一篇正规的书面问题的议论文，字数围绕在250——350词左右，其目的是测试考生在规定时间内，正确地运用语法、词汇和组织短篇文章的能力，以判断考生是否有能力适应美国大学、研究生院现行的考试制度。

托福写作部分的得分不记入总成绩，但它与托福成绩一起寄到有关大学。在录取新生时，考生的写作成绩是录取与否的关键因素之一，尤其对知名度较高的、奖学金较高的大学更是如此。经常会出现这样的情况，北美的学校更愿意要一个托福600分而作文满分的考生，而不是托福接近满分而TWE只有4 分的人，TWE的重要性是不言而喻的。

二．写作要点

1．TWE要求必须用铅笔写作文，你要自己准备好铅笔和橡皮。橡皮要有韧性，太硬会擦破纸，有错误要擦干净再改；

2．不要自拟题目；

3．写作时字迹不要太大或太小,一行10-12个单词为宜，每行超过14词或少于8词都不合适，这样答卷纸正面写满大约在230词，反面再写一半就有300多个单词了。

4．时间分配：审题，构思，立意3－5分钟；正文写作22－26分钟；检查错误（1－3分钟）

文章切题即文章要按照题目所规定的要求写，而不能答非所问；阐述充分，即能将问题展开讨论，论据或说明比较充分，文章有说服力；段落组织有序，衔接紧密、过渡自然，有很强的逻辑性；段落内句与句之间的连接顺畅，句式使用恰当、灵活、成熟；用词准确、得体。文章中可有个别语法和拼写错误，但不影响内容表达。通篇文章给人的印象是作者具有较强的写作能力。在修辞、句法、词汇等方面的英语水平达到了一定的高度。 五分标准

In the lecture, the professor casts doubt on the idea from the reading passage that prairie dogs should not be protected. The professor suggests that the prairie dogs should be protected.

To begin with, in the reading passage, prairie dogs can be detrimental to ariculture because they are cpable of damaging crops and grassland, which livestock are supposed to feed on. Contrary to this ststement, the progessor says that in most cases in modern agriculture we keep livestock in captive or stable breeding, so there is no such competition for priarie dogs on grass because usually livestock eat feed.

Secondly, the reading passage describes a dangerous disease called monkeybox found on prairie dogs, which is potentially harmful to huamans. However, the professor says that this kind of disease will not survive on human beings for very long and only lasts 2 to 4 weeks. He expains that the smallpox vaccine also can be used to prevent monkeyboxs.

托福口语培训的四个诀窍

导读：身边的朋友有许多参加了托福考试，可是通过率并不高。总结他们失败的原因，许多都说是口语拉低了分时，尽管阅读作文一路高歌，却在口语栽了跟头。所以，考生都应该打起精神，重视起口语进行托福口语培训。

根据我的经验，我大致总结除了四个方面的诀窍来和大家分享。托福口语培训对于许多人来说是一件折磨人的事情，从心理上排斥它。这是万万不能的。越是害怕，越是要征服它，这才是我们应该有的态度，而不是一味的逃避害怕而不训练。

下面就是我为大家总结的四个托福口语培训诀窍：

1.Practice.发音有问题是难免的，因而很多人会惧怕说错而不启齿。没关系，多练习就好了，不关键羞。原本，郁闷应该是一个过程，应该是你行进过程中一个必需阅历的过程。但是很多状况下，由于你不入手去处理，因而，他就变成了一个结果。

2.Listen to yourself.假如你不能听出你本人的发音问题，就很难去矫正它。你绝对应该把本人的声音录下来，然后跟相应的声音停止比拟，只要这样一点一滴的去校正，录音，修正，再录音。

3.Copy the experts.英语为母语的人士是最好的教师。所以，留意听英语播送或英语电影、电视节目，听他们的发音，还要留意看他们的口形。不要看字幕，模拟你听到的声音。

4.Find a partner.从他人那里得到反应是很重要的。有一个partner的话，你就会发现，哪怕你今天不想学，那么你的partner也会催促你，你假如今天放弃了，那么对方也就失去了锻炼本人口语的时机。

托福口语培训并不是一条简单的道路，它需要毅力，只有有毅力，日复一日的练习，才能有质的改变。按照以上四条诀窍，练习自己的语音和语调，再将老师所讲的东西好好地消化，我有原因相信，大家都是可以通过托福考试的。
