第五，译文需要语言朴实，不可过于奢侈夸张，要站在客观的角度去翻译文章，不可以带入私人的情感。

最后，英语是存在时态的，而中文就不是很讲究这点，所以在翻译时不需要对于时态存在疑惑，但是需要注意的是原文中的一些特殊的语法现象。

Iran executes woman who killed her alleged rapist

(CNN) -- An Iranian woman convicted of murder -- in a killing human rights groups called self-defense against her rapist -- was hanged to death Saturday, state news agency IRNA reported.

Reyhaneh Jabbari, 26, was sentenced to death for the 20xx killing of Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former employee of Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and Security. The United Nations has said she never received a fair trial. Her execution was originally scheduled for September 30, but was postponed. Amnesty International said the delay may have been in response to the public outcry against the execution. Jabbari was convicted of murder after "a flawed investigation and unfair trial," according to Amnesty International. The U.N. has said Sarbandi hired Jabbari -- then a 19-year-old interior designer -- to work on his office. She stabbed him after he sexually assaulted her, the U.N. has said. Jabbari was held in solitary confinement without access to her lawyer and family for two months, Amnesty International said in a statement. She was tortured during that time. "Amnesty International understands that, at the outset of the investigation, Reyhaneh Jabbari admitted to stabbing the man once in the back, but claimed she had done so after he had tried to sexually abuse her," the rights group said. "She also maintained that a third person in the house had been involved in the killing. These claims, if proven, could exonerate her but are believed never to have been properly investigated, raising many questions about the circumstances of the killing." Iranian Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi joined scores of Iranian artists and musicians calling for a halt to the execution. In an open letter, Farhadi asked the victim's family to pardon her, a possibility under Iranian law. Rights groups have criticized Iran for a surge in executions under Hassan Rouhani, in his first year as President. According to the United Nations, Iran has executed at least 170 people this year. 总体来说，新闻分为三部分：标题，导语和正文。作为新闻中的重要部分，标题是能让人们迅速获取资讯，了解世界的窗口。英语新闻标题的翻译等于为人们打开一扇便捷的窗口。由于缺乏系统地理论和方法指导，英语新闻标题的翻译难度比较大。因此，对于译者来讲，系统地总结和引导非常重要。本论文旨在总结来自不同学者的不同理论和方法，能够为译者和读者提供一定的思路和启发。

英语新闻标题语言特点翻译策略一、前言

不同的英文字典对于新闻标题的定义各不相同。Concise Oxford Dictionary（edition 1976，p495）：“title or subtitle in large type in newspapers， summary at beginning of broadcast news bulletin.”（简明牛津字典：在报纸上以大字体形式出现的标题或者副标题；Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary（edition 1975， p527）： “a head of newspaper story or article， printed in large type and devised to summarize the story or article that follows.”（韦氏词典：新闻故事或者新闻报道的开头，以大字打印体形式出现，用来概括之后所要描述的报道内容）。

英语新闻标题总是力求用有限的字数来表达新闻的内容，为此，在措词上尤其要狠下功夫，选词尽可能经济达意、简短明了，短小易懂、形象生动。这样的措词不仅能增强新闻的简洁性和可读性，而且还能节省版面篇幅。

如表示“破坏”或“损坏”一词意义的动词，标题一般不用damage，而用一些较之简短的词，如hit，harm，hurt, ruin或wreck等。又如表示“放弃”这一概念的动词，标题一般不用abandon，而用drop，give up，quit，skip或yield 等，表示“爆炸”之类的动词意义时，一般不用 explode，而用blast，crash， ram或smash等词。

（Headline）China looks for blue-sky solutions as smog worsens

(Lead)(CNN) -- Beijingers are once again choking as smog levels hit "heavy or even worse" levels in the capital and a number of other cities across the country.

(Body) Persistent problems with city air have prompted officials and entrepreneurs to consider ways to protect their citizenry from the pollution.

Beijing was under an "orange" smog alert Monday, which marks the first time the second-highest warning level of a new system introduced last year has been raised. The National Meteorological Center (NMC) Tuesday continued the alert for another 24 hours.

Heavy smog routinely blankets the capital, all but blotting out the sun and forcing residents inside. Australian Open champion Li Na revealed she's had to train indoors in Beijing due to the high levels of pollution, while smog across most of northern and eastern China has prompted officials to send teams of investigators to the worst-hit parts of the country.
