一句机智的妙语胜过一摞劣书。古往今来无数的名人在他们为人类文明发展、社会的进步创造着物质财富和精神财富的同时，留下了许多名言和警句。它们是语言精髓中的精髓，是文化长河中一颗颗璀璨的明珠。在生活中，有不少好学的青少年都从名人名言中吸取精神养分，获得前进的力量。但是思想的提炼和升化，语言的宣泄和表达，绝对不是名人的专利。对于中学生来说，虽然人生之路才刚刚起步，谈不上丰富的生活阅历，也没有深刻的人生体验，但是生活中的山石草木、花鸟虫鱼、芸芸众生的言谈举止、所作所为，都极容易触动他们的敏感的心灵。思想的火花一旦绽放，表达的欲望一旦触发，连珠的妙语也会不断涌现。黄梅县五祖镇中学开展了“诵名言——赏名言——写名言”的活动，分设不同专题，开展思想教育活动，收到良好的效果。

诵名言：名人名言、警句格言是人类智慧的结晶，反映人们睿智的思想、崇高的品德、高尚的情操、伟大的抱负、顽强的意志、卓远的见识。广泛地积累名言，可以让学生们与大师展开心灵的对话，可以让学生们净化灵魂，升华思想，同时也可以让学生的表达增添文采，气质高雅不俗。

赏名言：名言内涵丰富。有些名言几乎熔铸了名人一生的体验与思考，如不反复地揣摩涵咏，绝难悟其真谛。所以在班会上，在语文课上让学生交流所记名言，并自由地谈谈喜欢它的原因，是大有裨益的。在活动实践中，有些学生能结合自己的人生经历来谈，见解独特，认识深入。言谈之中情辞闪烁，听者心动。
