Dead poet society

The book dead poet society is one of the few books which touches my heart and make me choke for something. I love it so much that when I finished it I had decided to go on it once.

There are so many aspects deserving our commenting. Such as “Why do the school, Welton

Academy, kill the personalities of children” ,“ Is right that educational ways of the teachers or parents to their children like those in that book” and “The faith of John Keating”……All of them are my beloveds，but the words “seize the day and make your life extraordinary” is my favorite. So I will illusion that in the book in the following.

What is ?seize the day??I have thought it was to do the things around me, you should do, before I read it. Then when I finished it I know I?m wrong. Seize the day is to devote yourself to the things that you love to do and learn to how to choose our life. When in the classes of the school?s origin teacher Dr. Hager, in face of the dull course, the students often said “You?ll get used to old Hager”. But in the class of Keating, students are allowed to express their ideas and have the chance to find what they like and chase it.

Name is easy to let a person misunderstanding, in fact this is not a film full of death. On campus, there is such a group of handsome boys like Apollo. The light of their eyes shining with curiosity, of love and dreams of the opposite sex, the power of the struggle to rise, to yearn for an independent flight at all costs.

It's an intelligent film. Engaging plot, memorable characters, meaningful theme, wonderfully done scenes and atmosphere...Dead Poets Society has it all.

What is life? In the movie dead poets society, life is a poem, life is a note, is the most huacai chapters in the drama; Life is ideal, life is freedom, a person should have full confidence and independence; It guides you, inspire you, inspires you to the death and life of the courage to pursue the real youth and noble beliefs. We spend a lot of time in those things we do not like. However, we are immature. We choose silence or choose to force ourselves to like it. We ourselves never dare to say "NO" loud, or never master our life in our hand.

Perhaps, you will defend for yourself, "This is no other way to do "; Perhaps you will say, "Now that everything looks the same, can I be unique "； Perhaps you will say, "This is the reality, and no one can beat it"; perhaps, very likely, you will become one of them and establish the authority of parents to educate your children. You have become a loyal defender of authority. There is an old golden Chinese saying: No one can exist who resists me .

死亡诗社英文>观后感（一）

First of all, this is movie is my all-time favorite, out of all the hundreds of films I have seen. However, every time I mention this film, I have to answer most people's quizzical looks with 'It's a beautiful little 80s film that stayed in the 80s.' After seeing it for the 24th time since I first saw it 5 years ago, on my 13th birthday, I can gladly say that this movie went far and beyond the 80s, and the power and inspiration of the message can be felt every day.

Dead Poets Society is a most underrated film by a most underrated director whose inspiring, uplifting and moral tales firmly grounded in reality are not nearly as appreciated as they should be. Here, we see one of his very personal and cradled projects, and he shows the visual style and concentration on characters in which he is so affluent. His control of the camera and the characters are very strong and very smooth. The cinematography is near perfect, with every shot, along with the editing, seamless. Also very compelling are the color-tones in every scene, perfectly matching the mood and events of the scene. Could you say this is art? Absolutely.

What Makes A Boy A Man

Daed Poets Society

There are certain films that can heavily shock your soul, then elicit your thinking, and finally change your life. No doubt Dead Poets Society is one of these infrequent films. It is a film about a teacher and his students. It is a film about perseverance and change. It is a film about love and cruelty.

The film is set in the United States in 1959. It shows us a series of things which happened to Mr.Keating and the young boys in Wilton Preparatory School.

Mr.John Keating is certainly the main character of this film. He is a respectable teacher with a high self-cultivation. He has an advanced conception which is different from tranditional educatin. The other two main characters are Neil, a boy who is keen on performing, and Todd, a boy with a little shyness. From Todd, I see how a boy grows into a man.

——观《死亡诗社》有感

《死亡诗社》是一部关于成长、梦想、挑战传统的电影。这类片子可能票房不佳但口碑肯定不错。看完后我想到了法国《放牛班的春天》，德国《浪潮》，美国《半个尼尔森》以及印度《三傻大闹宝莱坞》、《地球上的星星》等等。当然这些都是西方资本主义的产物。欣赏《死亡诗社》，应当对比着来看。

首先不得不提到的是电影的中文译名，原名Dead Poets Society的意思应该理解为“朗诵已故诗人作品的团体”如果结合内容来看应当译成“春风化雨”更为恰当。“死亡诗社”这个片名固然吸引人，但却并不贴切。

考试上名校做医生赚大钱，并非中国学生的专利。尼尔的父亲也和一个普通中国家长一样，望子成龙，扼杀他的表演兴趣，逼他好好学习，以后上哈佛医学院，结果这小子想不开，开枪自杀了。学校正好要找理由收拾新来的老师基廷，他搅翻了一潭水、鼓励学生张扬个性，培养爱好。于是学校将尼尔之死归咎于他。恰如《放牛班》中的马修老师，他通过自己独特的教育方式改变学生，虽然很努力，也取得了成效，但是迫于学校施加的巨大压力，他也不得不和基廷先生一样离开学校离开他的学生。马修老师捡起从窗口飘出的纸条，学生站上课桌向基廷老师表达的致敬的场景，无不令我动容。

说下去，就绕不开应试教育这个沉重的话题。虽然不只是我们独有，外国也曾经历过。但是当他们在讨论该怎么塑造培养学生的独立人格时，我们的电影只会讲普及乡村教育，甚至编造青春期发生的事。说起来每个人滔滔不绝，却始终不敢将镜头聚焦问题的源头——教育体制。 基廷先生不满当时的教育方法，鼓励学生大胆撕教材。他带学生们在校史楼内聆听死亡的声音，反思生的意义；让男生们在绿茵场上大声宣读自己的理想；鼓励学生站在课桌上，用新的视角俯瞰世界。老师自由发散式的哲学思维让学生内心产生强烈的共鸣，他们渐渐学会自己思考与求索，勇敢的追问人生的路途，甚至违反门禁，成立死亡诗社，在山洞里击节而歌！由于之前看过《浪潮》，我一直担心他们的死亡诗社最终会扯起反体制的大旗，如浪潮般席卷校园，走向失控。任何的教学创新必将伴随着巨大的风险。虽然美国人并未那么疯狂，但不幸还是发生了。尼尔的死或许在意料之中，但在我们看来却见怪不怪，毕竟我们身边这样的事情发生不少。家长望子成龙的急切心态在无形中把孩子赶上了悬崖。逼急了，也就一死了之。
