It’s a play written by Shakesper . I don't think it is an absolute comedy. There is still sadness in the play .The play has a very complicated plot.

So did these poor old lords ,when it was too late , strive to outgo each other in mutual courtesies . When their children died , they had to remove the rooted hates and jealousies of the noble families . However, it has been peaceful since that time . They , Romeo and Juliet, are sincere young . They insist they will have a fantastic future . But everything changes in a very short time .In fact , if they didn't meet at the party ,they might be enemies , just like their families. But they met at the party and fell in love ,they only know each other for a few days . They weren't allowed to get married by their family and friends .

Romeo and Juliet

What lead to Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy, love or hatred?

It’s well known that Romeo and Juliet is one of William Shakespeare’s famous tragedies and most of people kept their true love in mind. However, since the first time I’ve finished an unabridged English opera very carefully, I could not agree with the idea that the opera was a tragedy. Besides, to some great extent, it was “love” that resulted in their death.

As the beginning of the opera, it showed me a strong grudge between two noble families—the Capulet and the Montague. Both their servants were loyal to them and determined to fight against the other. In the first Act, they did fight fiercely. Why couldn’t I think it as a kind of servants’ love to their lords? Try to treat the fight from another aspect; I am inclined to accept that both of them loved themselves too much. Pitifully, their selfish love wouldn’t allow their children to marry out of their expectation.

My Favorit Book----“Romeo and Juliet”

Generally speaking, when I finish reading this masterpiece,I have taken a important lesson from the Romeo and Juliet ’s tragety: True love is more powerful than hatred .Even death can not destroy and conquer it.

The Romeo and Juliet, is a theatre reflecting the tragic fact of two young people’s love in Britain in the16th century. Its artistic style is a little same with the auther’s most earlier comic works. So the Romeo and Juliet is regared by people as a lyric tragedy.

The book was published in 1595 ,and the story which happens in Verona, is set in the Elizabeth’s age . Although Italy that time is the birthplace of the Renaissance, capitalism is still in the process of the initial stages. Brief Introduction of the lecture William Shakespeare Charles Dickens Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice Reflection on the lecture By李鑫迪03a11102

Part I Brief Introduction of the lecture

I have been interested in British Literature ever since I red the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. So I was really pleasant to find that a lecture would be given about an introduction to British Literature talking about the three influential writers, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and one of my favorite woman writer Jane Austen.

The lecture was given by the British teacher Jenna Victoria Shorten, and the humorous and cute teacher with an authentic British accent have brought all of us back to 19th century and we can focus on the three writers again from the point of view of a local resident. That’s something definitely appealing and attractive.
