NO IMAGINATION, NO CREATIVITY

Dear teachers and students：

Good morning / afternoon / evening! My name is Liu zi yuan. The title of my speech is the relationship between creativity and imagination.

尊敬的老师、同学们大家早上/下午/晚上好!我叫刘子源。我演讲的题目是创造力和想象力之间的关系。

There is no creativity without imagination. With the development of the society, creativity becomes more and more important. People could not satisfy with ordinary life. So we need creativity to meet their requirements. We can see significance of the creativity from an example. The smart phone—iphone spread all over the world. That was the creativity of The Apple Inc. It is obvious that it will produce a bigger profit than common manufacturing. But, hao can we acquire creativity?

没有想象力就没有创造力。随着社会的发展，创造力变得越来越重要。人们已经不能满足于日常生活。所以我们需要不断的创新来满足他们的需求。通过一个例子我们可以知道创造力的意义。苹果智能手机的使用遍及全世界。这就是苹果公司的创新。很显然，这项创新产生了巨大的利润比起普通的制造业。但是我们怎样才能获得创造力？

My Understanding of Innovation

Good afternoon everybody. I’m Alison from GAMI. It’s my honour to stand here to share my understanding of innovation.

About innovation，what comes to your mind firstly ? As for me, most innovation shines our lives in the long process of humanhistory. Just imagine ten million years ago, what are our ancestors’ lifestyles? They must hunt animals or pick the roots and leaves for food laboriously with simple tools ; They have to roar with each other to communicate in a long distance; Their transportation basically rely on walking. In short, their lives are hard, simple, even a little boring. However, taking a look at our lives today! We can order KFC at home , our food is more easily and diversifiedly to be acquired; we can get in touch with our friends anywhere at anytime by telephone , E-mail andWeChat! Our vehicles include buses ,cars, planes and so on, it becames so easy to reach the destination. So how did these happen? Those changes are all owing to the countless innovation. It makes our lives become more convenient, comfortable and colorful.

i've always been an optimist and i suppose that is rooted in my belief that the power of creativity and intelligence can make the world a better place. for as long as i can remember, i've loved learning new things and solving problems. so when i sat down at a computer for the first time in seventh grade, i was hooked. it was a clunky old teletype machine and it could barely do anything compared to the computers we have today. but it changed my life. when my friend paul allen and i started microsoft 30 years ago, we had a vision of "a computer on every desk and in every home," which probably sounded a little too optimistic at a time when most computers were the size of refrigerators. but we believed that personal computers would change the world. and they have. and after 30 years, i'm still as inspired by computers as i was back in seventh grade. i believe that computers are the most incredible tool we can use to feed our curiosity and inventiveness —— to help us solve problems that even the smartest people couldn't solve on their own. computers have transformed how we learn, giving kids everywhere a window into all of the world's knowledge. they're helping us build

transpositonal consideration Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentleman. Thanks for raising your attention. Taday, I’ll give you a speech entitled“transpositonal consideration”.

Before starting my speech I would like to ask you a question! Have you heard the saying that What we cannot afford to lose is nothing but innovation. Yes, I have. I’ve always believed it is a truth.

I have heard that three apples changed the world. The first one seduced Eve. The second one awakened Newton. The third one was in the hands of Steve Jobs. We sort of think the innovation of the world began with apple.I imagine lots of people want to become another Newton or Jobs right now with just one hand to change the world, right? Have the innovation to follow your heart. It somehow already reflects what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

When Tradition Meets Innovation

This is a changing world. We have so many products that are updating every day, which totally change the way we live. At first we only had telephones that could speak to each other, and then we got SMS to send text. We tried to made phones smaller to be portable. After that, we added camera function into phones and successfully linked it with internet. This is how we got our smart phones.

From the development of mobile phones, it is easy to tell that, all kind of innovation is based on what it had originally. Innovation is adding something new to or changing something that has been established. Tradition is a ritual, belief, or object passed down within a society, still maintained in the present, with origins in the past. Most, if not all things, incorporate lessons learned from both. 'Innovation and Tradition' represents opposite ends on the spectrum of change. When tradition meets innovation, all you need is to change another mind. You can combine totally different things together, or figure out different usages, in order to get new things.

Tradition and Innovation

Good morning, my fellow students and dear teachers.

The stories of our fathers and mothers lie in the long tradition, while the future script of our children will be written by innovation.

One nation would not be itself any more if it does not inherit their tradition, which is one of the most important ingredients for the culture of a nation. The influence of tradition on the main stream thoughts is still dominant, but there were good ones as well as bad ones. Tradition is the result of our ancestors’ adaption to environment. Part of tradition still suits nowadays, such as the solar term is the guide of weather. But somehow, tradition will make people shut down their will to take a step forward which may stop the development of the economy. So, our attitude towards tradition should be dialectical, take the essence to its dregs to keep its positive energy.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

On behalf of my colleagues, I wish to give my warm eongratulations on thc holding of the photo Exhibition "Scenery of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan."

Talking of scenery and landscape, there are many similarities and contrasts between 中国 and Canada. Both have land masses that are among the world's largest. Both have some of the world' s most impressive mountains, rivers and lakes. But each has things that are special to itself. The Chinese are surprised by the fact that Canadian fur traders of the early years were actually able to sail on canoes from the Atlantic to the Pacific through thousands upon thousands of lakes spread out from eastern to western Canada, while Canadians find the mountains drawn by Chinese painters on scrolls utterly surreal. No Chinese visitors would leave Canada contented without seeing the'Niagara Falls.
