MR. OBAMA: Vice President Biden, Mr. Chief Justice, Members of the United States Congress, distinguished guests, and fellow citizens:

Each time we gather to inaugurate a president, we bear witness to the enduring strength of our Constitution. We affirm the promise of our democracy. We recall that what binds this nation together is not the colors of our skin or the tenets of our faith or the origins of our names. What makes us exceptional – what makes us American – is our allegiance to an idea, articulated in a declaration made more than two centuries ago:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Today we continue a never-ending journey, to bridge the meaning of those words with the realities of our time. For history tells us that while these truths may be self-evident, they have never been self-executing; that while freedom is a gift from God, it must be secured by His people here on Earth. If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

奥巴马就职演讲稿读后感

20xx年1月20日，在美国的首都华盛顿特区，一位黑人进行就职演说，而他所要就职的职位是美国总统。他就是美国200多年历史上的首位黑人总统-----奥巴马。

这位美国第44位总统，在他的就职典礼上的一番演说也一直是世界所关注的事情。在读了这篇就职演讲后，我也感慨万千。虽然美国的历史只有短短的200多年，但现在美国却是世界上的经济强国，军事大国。这与美国的文化，以及他们的态度有着莫大的关系。 在演讲稿的开篇，并没有因为他所代表的党派和思想理念的不同，而对前任总统的所作所为进行批判。并且全篇演说稿的内容是那么的实在，没有回避“失业增加、企业倒闭、医疗费用昂贵、教育问题”这些社会问题敢于直面提出，就是本身态度的问题。前面我们知道美国只有短短的200多年的历史，而中国却有着5000年的历史传承，但在这些问题的处理上却没有么过这样的透明，最少不会在这样的场合如此明了的提出，不会如此的公开。我想能把事情公开讲出来的他就应该能敢于面对。

美国没有过长的历史传承，但他们却没有忘记自己历史。正如演说稿中所说的“为了我们，他们背起行囊，远涉重洋，寻找新的生活。为了我们，他们条件恶劣的工厂埋首苦干，开拓建立了西方世界；他们忍受鞭笞，辛勤耕耘贫瘠的土壤。为了我们，他们誓死奋战，鲜血洒在康科德（Concord），盖茨堡（Gettysburg），诺曼底（Normandy）

和科萨恩（Kherson）。 一次又一次，为了使我们过上更好的生活，他们奋斗牺牲，辛勤工作直到双手布满老茧。在他们眼里，美国超越了每个个体雄心的总和，超越了出身、财富和派系的差别。”对于先辈的努力，我们要铭记于心，不能忘记我们民族是伟大的，但伟大不是赠与的，而是赢得的，需要的是我们后辈的不断的努力去奋斗。美国能如此，而我们有着5000年历史传承的国度中的人何呢？这就是我们该深思的问题。

对于所提及的社会问题，能够直接的提出解决办法。值得注意的是，他并不是画饼充饥似的给你一个美好的未来，而是提出实在的解决办法。在文中就是这样的写道“举目四望，很多事情等着我们去做。国家的经济形势亟待我们大胆而快速的行动。我们会行动——不仅要创造更多的工作机会，也要为经济增长建立新的基础。我们将建桥铺路，建立更多的电网和数字线路来促进商业发展，紧密联系彼此。我们会将科学研究归位，使用高新的技术来提高卫生保健的质量，降低其费用。我们将充分利用太阳能，风能和土壤，来为我们的汽车和工厂提供燃料和动力。我们将改革学校、学院和大学，以适应新时期的需要。这些我们都可以做。这些我们将去做。”这就是美国的实用主义，要的就是务实。
