教学内容分析及课时分配建议：

本话题围绕周末活动而展开。主要内容包括：由Maria打电话给 Jane，询问她在过去某个特定的时刻在做什么事情，引出了本话题的语法——过去进行时态。然后Jane和Michael讨论《哈利波特》观后感，引出同意和不同意的功能用语。为了增强趣味性，教材还编排了家喻户晓的童话故事The Little Match Girl和动画片Tom and Jerry来反复呈现巩固过去进行时态。最后，教材还介绍了周末的来历。通过学习本话题，学生能够正确使用过去进行时态，并通过优秀文学作品的学习陶冶了人文情操。

本课主要区分过去进行时和一般过去时。讲故事时通常是这两种时态交织在一起。首先让学生进行“讲故事”比赛来复习过去进行生和一般过去时。然后教师通过教材中提及的几个童话故事的视频片段导入到新课，并教学部分新词汇。接着让学生利用1b中的关键词快速阅读1a,并完成1b的表格。本课词汇较多，难点也多。在学生了解了大意以后，接着就着手解决学生的疑难问题。为了更好的理解课文，教师还可以设置了更多的问题让学生讨论回答，增加学生的理解深度。然后让学生给图片配上中心词，并根据图片改写课文。完成1c 。最后师生一起回顾课文，完成本课时。

Ash Wednesday 2015: History, Dates, Traditions Of

Lent's First Day Of Fasting

Ash Wednesday is observed on February 18, 2015. The Christian holy day marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day season of fasting that is considered preparation for Holy Week and the celebration of Easter.

Although there is no Biblical reference to Ash Wednesday or Lent, scholars of Christianity date the tradition of a 40-day fasting period back to 325 A.D.

Lent mirrors Jesus’ own 40-day period of fasting, described in the book of Matthew. Observers have ash placed on their foreheads in the shape of the cross as the words from Genesis 3:19 are spoken: “You are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Fasting requirements for Catholics are outlined by the Code of Canon Law, and include eating no meat on the Fridays during Lent, as well as fasting on Ash

Abstract: Jane Austin is a famous female writer in the late 18th century to the early 19th century in Britain. She is the first one who concerned ordinary people's daily life and described them with her realistic pen. Her words have pure and fresh sense of humor and give people a feeling of life with the country melody. Pride and Prejudice is the most famous work in her life. In this work, Austin expresses her own ideas about marriage from the perspective of Elizabeth who was shaped as a smart, intelligent, lively and lovely girl. Austin is superior in portraying female psychology, but the description of Mr. Darcy’s characters also comes to a lightspot which graces many for the whole novel. In her book, Mr. Darcy is a person who looks arrogant and never impresses people amicably. But in fact, he has some commendable qualities, for example, the tolerance for Wickham, the meticulous care for his sister, the kind treatment for servant, the help for Lydia, and the consistent love for Elizabeth. But all these virtues are covered by his pride, conceit and unopenness. Consequently, causes Elizabeth’s prejudice to him. The emotion between the two experiences a lot of misunderstands at first and then they produce love to each other and finally step into marriage. In the whole process, Mr. Darcy's many splendid qualities are largely presented by indirect ways, which makes all the acquaintance suddenly realize his merits. So, it is very valuable to study the characters of Mr. Darcy.

The Main Difference Between My College Life And My Middle School Life

It is generally accepted by college students that the main difference between middle school and college life lies in the degree of independence. As for me, I prefer the more independent life in university for the following three reasons. First and foremost, since the very day I entered the university, I have learned to live on my own and cultivated the habit of solving problems by myself. Without parents company, I have learned to arrange my daily meals for myself, wash clothes, set financial plans and make decisions relying on myself. Besides, college life is academically different from that in middle schools. Teachers in university only give students due guidance at due time, which renders college students more freedom to set academic goals. What’s more, we can choose any courses we are interested in and the teachers whose teaching styles are to our preference. Last but not least, we enjoy more free extracurricular time. We can make good use of the free time to broaden our views and make more friends.
