Up and down the chain of command, year-end performance reviews fill people with dread or with resentment, and very rarely with joy. Both the givers and the receivers spend a lot of time on the reviews, yet they generally see them as an empty exercise. After all the procedural T's are crossed and the I's dotted, it takes people skills to get a real return on investment from this important, labor-intensive process. Leaders need to set an example by turning a ritual into a productive effort.

《基础英语》课程再建设项目工作总结

 

课程建设项目负责人:

一、项目立项背景: 英语专业是人文学科专业之一,其内容是英语语言技能的专业训练和对语言文化的专门研究,一直是我国大学英语专业英语教学的第一主干课程,以培养学生运用英语综合技能为目的。教育部于20##年4月颁布的《高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲》(以下简称新《大纲》)对基础阶段的教学有着明确的要求:“基础阶段的主要教学任务是传授英语基础知识,对学生进行全面的、严格的基本技能训练、培养学生实际运用语言的能力、良好的学风和正确的学习方法,为进入高年级打下扎实的基础。” 

基础英语课是英语专业本科学习的重要课程,最能体现基础特色。基础英语(精读)是这一体系中学分最高,课时最多、对学生的语言技能提高最重要的一门课程,它肩负着全面提高学生语言能力的任务。它的发展与建设必须在英语专业发展规划的框架之内。纵观多年持续的建设过程,我们感到基础英语的建设不是孤立的,每一点进步和改革都体现了英语专业的发展导向,体现了英语专业规划的思路。随着社会发展对英语专门人才培养规格的要求的不断提高,本系的基础英语课经历了由单纯强调语言知识讲解与讲授向篇章理解为主,突出语用的教与学,培养学生运用英语进行交际能力的转变。

自我校创办英语专业以来,基础英语课以教授句型、语法、词汇知识为主。课上除了教师的讲解之外,学生主要进行机械式地模仿训练,但多数情况下脱离真实的交际情景。课文的理解也多局限在以句为单位上。虽然基本功的训练是教学内容的重点,但这种以讲语法为主、使用为辅的教学模式不利于学生知识结构的完善和学生语用能力的培养,其结果是教学效率不高,形式呆板单一,教师和学生容易疲乏厌倦。通过多年的教学实践和摸索,我们在教学的认识上终于有了突破,我们已经强烈地意识到:基础英语课应该全面贯彻以学生为中心的原则,课上开展以任务为中心的形式多样的活动,更多地采用启发式、讨论式、发现式和研究式的方法,更多地在教语言知识、提高技能的同时注入人文因素,全方位地提高学生的素质。

九年级上学期英语教学工作总结

转眼这一学期的工作已接近尾声,回顾这半年的工作,有收获也有不足。本学期,我担任九年级二、四两个班的的英语教学工作,九年级二班有学生25人,九年级四班有学生27人。九年级是整个初中阶段的重要一年,为使学生在英语这门学科上取得更大的进步,在中考中取得优异的成绩,我在教学中尝试了一些教学方法,为使今后的教学工作取得更大进步,现对本学期的教学工作做以总结。

第一、思想政治方面

在本学期的教学工作中,我自始至终以认真、严谨的工作态度,勤恳、坚持不懈的工作精神从事英语教学。我积极响应学校的各项号召,积极参加政治、业务学习,认真领会学习内容,以教师职业道德规范为准则,严格要自己。思想积极向上,要求进步。在教学中,做到为人师表,关爱学生,帮助学生对英语学习充满学习热情和信心,以健康文明的形象言传身教。 第二、努力做好教育教学工作

这学期我担任的是九年级二、四两个班的英语教学。学生基础不错,只有个别学生产生了放弃心理。我在实践中积极探索新的教学方式,潜心研究英语课堂教学,深刻领会新课改的理念,注重激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,积极鼓励学生树立学习英语的自信心,注重形成性评价在英语教学中的运用,并及时总结经验、反思,努力提高自己的教学水平,具体工作如下: 一、认真备课。教学中,备课是一个必不可少,十分重要的环节,既要备教材、备学生,又要备教法。备课充分,能调动学生的积极性,上课效果就好。因此,了解和分析学生情况,有针对地教对教学成功与否至关重要至关重要。这两个班在经过两年多的英语教学,在英语学习

方面有些基础,但九年级四班大多数学生英语基础较差,尖子生相对较少。因此,讲得太深,就照顾不到整体,时间长了,学生的学习积极性就会欠佳。但是,在授课时采取不同的方法,兼顾优等生和学困生,教学效果会更好。

二、培养学生良好的英语学习习惯

我校的学生来源全是农村的,学生家长以及周围的环境对学习英语都不是很关注,学生的学习自觉性也较差,主要表现在以下几个方面:学过的单词,老师要求背出,学生总是借口其他作业太多,没时间背等,往后一拖再拖,即便能背出来,也是临时死记强记出来的。等过不了多久又忘了。上过的新课,相应的配套练习,不能自觉去独立完成,总需要老师再三强调,但仍有部分学生拖拖拉拉不做。死记硬背的东西多,联系的东西少,因此表面上看感觉还可以,但真正一考起来,问题出来很多,而且差距很大。经过几次考试下来,问题也出来了,我任教的这两个班:尖子生只有几个,中等生断层,差生面特大。
