篇一 :MUNPositionPaper范例(英文)

Delegate:

Country: China

Topic: Security Council Reform

The Security Council has made great contributions to maintaining international peace and security. As one of the permanent nations, China considers it to be significant for the Security Council to bear the responsibilities of addressing the most serious security issues.

Actions have been taken to reform the Security Council. In1965, the number of the membership was expanded from 11 to 15, and the number of affirmative votes was increased from 7 to 9. In 1968, the Security Council votes needed to call a General Conference to review the UN Charter was also increased form 7 to 9. These are the past UN measures of reform.

China urges the Security Council to reform for several reasons as follows: First, since the UN’s creation over 50 years ago, the world has seen great changes in every aspect. It’s difficult for the Security Council to function well in its original forms. Second, the membership of the Council is so exclusive that both developed countries like German and Japan and developing countries like nations of Asia, Africa, and Latin America have all called for dramatic reforms of the Security Council. Third, the permanent seats are not distributed fairly and properly enough which has been in dispute for a long time. Forth, the decision-making process is not transparent enough. Consequently, China considers it necessary to reform the Security Council.

读好的review(综述)也行,但这样人容易懒惰。

1 Introduction

Ever since the end of the Second World War, great stride has been taken in world trade over the past 60 years. Thanks to the establishment of some international and regional economic organizations, such as WTO (in 1995), NAFTA (in 1994), EU (in 1992) and APEC (in 1989), economic boundaries between nations gradually faded away. As corporations in different countries realizing the substantial potential for expansion and profit the international markets provide, they are taking the initiative in participating in the international business and turning their attention to foreign markets with the aim to occupy a favorable place in the fierce competition. Especially those in developed countries, where slow population growth, saturated domestic markets, increasing foreign competition inhibit their further development, have already begun to look abroad for new markets and taste the high profit margins on foreign soil, such as BMW, Nestle, Nokia, McDonald's, Nike, Toyota, Coca Cola, Gillette, Samsung, Colgate (Waller, 2002).

Diet and Health

The food choices we make can have an important impact on our health. However, expert opinions continue to change about which and how much of these foods is optimal. In order to get more from their daily nutritional diet, or solve their health problems, people begin to demand more and more healthy food. A wrong step or choice will directly affect on people’s health.

Eating foods higher in healthy fats and lower in unhealthy fats can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. The type of fat consumed appears to be more important than the amount of total fat. Saturated fats and trans fats should be avoided in favor of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (eg, in fish, olive oil, peanut oil, nuts). Trans fats are those that are solid at room temperature, and are found in many

初中英语作文:电脑能代替纸笔吗?Can Computer Replace Paper and

Pen

提纲:

1.电脑在曰常生活中的重要性。

2.电脑取代纸笔的趋势。

3.现阶段电脑与纸笔的关系。

People often say we have entered the electronic age. Computers have become the center of life. No one can live and work without computers. In the future, everyone can work and study at home before a PC. There won't be piles of files. Instead, a disc is OK enough.

With the appearance of printers, the pen becomes less useful than before. And since the computer was created, paper is also gradually giving way to the screen, which can show lively moving things from different sides in the same picture. It is true that with the developmem of science, such products as computers and printers will be the major tools in our future life and work. But the traditional tools will also exist for a long time to supplement the function of the modern ones. At least, we still need pens to sign with and paper to sign on.

What is a scientific paper? A paper is an organized

description of hypotheses, data and conclusions, intended

to instruct the reader. Papers are a central part of

research. If your research does not generate papers, it might just as well not have been done. “Interesting and

unpublished” is equivalent to “non-existent.”

篇七 :How to write a Book Report怎么写英文读书报告

How to write a book report?

Book reports may be required by teachers who want to know whether their students have read the books assigned and how well they understand those books. If they are not required, students may as well write one or two for themselves, for writing book reports helps students to improve their reading comprehension and their ability to analyze and evaluate books. Moreover, it is very good practice.

Generally speaking, a book report consists of the following three main parts: information about the author and his times, a summary of the book, and comments on it.

A brief account of the author’s life should be given together with a description of his times. The latter should include the circumstances that led to the writing of the book under discussion and the historical and social background related to the content of the book. To make these things clear, the writer perhaps needs to read some reference material, such as biographies of the author and histories of the period described in the book.

You will have 5 minutes for questions and answers following the presentation. You will be expected to fill the complete 25 minute timer period, but no more.

Guidelines and suggestions

Your presentation should generally follow the outline of your paper and should

include a brief introduction that provides the audience with a frame of reference, a main body of the presentation and a strong conclusion. Your goal is to engage the audience effectively and to get your message across. To do that, they need to be able to focus on the science and not be distracted from your message by graphics that are needlessly complex or difficult to decipher.
